Miscreants attacked Manik Shil’s family over a land dispute. This horrific incident took place last Saturday (March 1, 2025) in Kamranga area of Rampur Union No. 5 of Chandpur Sadar Upazila. The attackers snatched away cash, a pair of gold earrings, two gold chains and a mobile set. During this time, the miscreants physically abused and beat up children and women.
A man from the victim’s family said, “They beat my daughter and tore her clothes. During this time, they also beat me with an iron rod and injured me.” He said that Md. Shahadat, Md. Alam and 5/6 other people with them suddenly attacked us. During this time, they humiliated the women and snatched their gold jewelry.
A woman from the victim’s family said that the scoundrel named Md. Alam raised his hands on her and beat her. She also said that the mother of Md. Jalal, who was nearby, threatened to pour kerosene and set the house on fire. The attackers also raised their hands on the small child and tore his pants.
