The rape incident took place in Baherchar Panchkitta village of the upazila on Thursday night (June 26, 2025). The victim woman alleged that her parents were not at home on the night of the incident. At that time, Fajor Ali broke the door of the house and raped her. Meanwhile, several local sources say that during the incident, people around the scene saw the victim naked, forcibly recorded her video and spread it on social media on Saturday night. The day after the incident, the victim woman filed a case with Muradnagar Police Station. The husband of the victim woman has been abroad for the past five years and they have two children.

Muradnagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zahidur Rahman said that the woman filed a case against Fajor Ali for rape, but did not tell the police about the incident of stripping her naked and torturing her. However, four people involved in the video have been identified and arrested for recording and spreading it on Facebook. Legal action is being taken against them.
