A Hindu youth named Sagar Kumar Saha was thrashed and a chain of shoes was placed around his neck in Rajshahi by a Muslim mob for insulting the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The incident took place at around 10 pm on Tuesday (April 22, 2025).
Rajpara Police Station OC Ashraful Islam said, while sitting at a local tea shop and discussing religious matters, Sagar Kumar Saha insulted the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH). The matter came to the attention of local devotees. At one point, they caught him, beat him up and detained him and informed the police. Later, the police went and arrested him and took him into police custody. He also said that a case will be filed against Sagar Kumar Saha in this incident and he will be produced in court on Wednesday. Sagar Kumar Saha is the son of Sanatan Kumar Saha of Bulanpur Ghoshpara under Rajpara Police Station in the city. Source-Bdtoday.net
