Body of young man recovered in Sonagazi. Police have recovered the body of a young man named Apu Chandra Kuri in Sonagazi, Feni. The body was recovered from a tree garden next to the house of Jharna Barua in Bishnupur village of the upazila at around 7 am on Thursday (January 30, 2025).
It is learnt that locals informed the police after seeing a body hanging from a kathal tree on Thursday morning. The police recovered the body of a young man from the spot. His name is Apu Chandra Kuri (25). He is the son of Kanti Lal Das of Mana Member Bari of Jelepara in Bishnupur village.
Eyewitnesses said that no one had any dispute with Apu, and an investigation should be conducted to find out who killed him and why he was hanged like this. Samajpati Dr. Shanti Babu said that the head of the body was tied to a tree, but the legs were on the ground up to the knees. This death is mysterious.
Sonagazi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bayezid Akon said the body has been sent to the hospital for autopsy. The deceased’s sister has filed a case with the police station in this incident.
