Miscreants vandalized a Kali Pratima in Haluaghat, Mymensingh in the dead of night. The incident took place late on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at the Dakshin Kalibari temple in Bhatta area of Shakuai union of the upazila. As a result, various parts of the heads and hands of three Pratimas in the temple were severed.
Additional Superintendent of Police MM Mohaimenur Rasid inspected the scene on Thursday morning (February 13). Sujan Chakraborty, a priest of the local Kali temple, said that people used to come and go here till 10 pm. Last night, I woke up at 12:30 and went to the front of the temple and saw that someone had broken the head and hands of the Pratima (Idol). Haluaghat Police Station OC Abul Khair said, we have inspected the scene and legal action is under process. Source-Janakantha
